I bought mine from this guy at a boat show about 5 years ago. Have not dove from it as I have a inflatable.

I have a cobra fish-n-dive. Its slow but very stable, a longer narrower kayak will be faster. The dive in my kayak is that it is big enough to carry tanks and heavy loads.

OEX on rosecrans has 'em, and they do a little bit of freediving stuff out of that store, Not my favorite for some reason, but can't say why.

The boat show is coming up next weekend so there should be some dealers there and some deals if you're looking for new.

Also You might just want to get a surfboard if you're free diving. Saw an old POS 6 plus ft'er at a thrift store the other day for 25 bucks. (goodwill in Escondido) Cheap, gets you out without swiming and easier to get up and down a cliff.

I'm too lazy, I'll stick with my achillies and the 50hp.

I put an add on CL that I would trade stuff or pay $200 for a yak, this tweaker chick hooked me up. I traded a old car stereo and $100 for a cobra fish n dive, two paddles, wheels, life vest and a minkota 35 electric motor the stereo was prob worth $200-$250. It was funny to after I showed her the stereo worked and gave her the money she ran inside I think to make the call to her dealer and left the stereo outside on the curb as I was driving away. Anyhow you just never know what will come your way.

How big are you? This makes a difference in model of kayak... There are big guy kayaks, and average guy kayaks.

Do a search for kayak on the spearboard. There's a lot of good information. Good luck.

All I can say is I like the larger kayaks and I'm not that tall. The big ones glide through the water better than the small kayaks. But I suppose they're more expensive and harder to stow if you don't have a big car.

Here's some pics of mine. It comes with extra long straps on the front and back. Let's me strap down my gear bag, speargun, ice chest and anything else I want to take with me.
