I am contemplating selling my boat to get into a catamaran that is a little smaller. I am feeling it out right now, but here is what I have:
1988 26' Pursuit center console with a small forward cutty
2001 twin 200 HP Yamaha HPDI's (380 flawless hours)
2001 Tropic Trailer aluminum boat trailer with disk brakes and stainless package.
Key features:
T-top
Speargun rack
tank holders
outriggers
porta potti
freshwater wash down
saltwater wash down
202 gallon fuel capacity
trim tabs
and much, much more
Electronics included:
Garmin 182 GPS with cartographic capability (bluechart)
Garmin 320C bottom machine
XM Radio
AM/FM Stereo
ICOM VHF
This boat is truly a great boat. Absolutely rock solid. The motors look and run flawless, and have never given me one bit of trouble. I get just under 2 mpg with 16 tanks on board, full fuel, and 500 pounds of ice. Round trip to the middlegrounds usually averages about 120 gallons. I am asking 33K or best offer. I will deliver in Florida.
Judging on the interest in the boat will determine if I move forward with my other plan. Call or PM me. My cell number is 813-244-9716

Sounds like a nice boat, but I would need to sell mine first which could take some time;) Maybe if you still have it in a month or two.
I was just out on a 27' World Cat over the weekend and that thing is the bomb. A buddy of mine had a 22' Sea Cat which ran like hell too.
What type/size cat are you thinking about?

I am looking at a Sea Cat now. Put that Whaler for sale, someone will snap it up right away, those things sell quick.

It's in pieces right now since I am having the floor redone, rewiring and other assorted endless boat crap:D But, if I could sell it quickly I would seriously consider your boat since it is the general size/type boat I've been wanting. Let me see what I can come up with. Did you place an ad on boattraderonline.com ?

No, I am holding off on the Trader until I am more sure of what I am going to do. I do not want to sell the boat unless I know I have the other one tied up.

I want to take you for a 45 mph ride on my new boat in 3-4 footers before you make a decision. It's almost warm enough for me to get in the water.:D

BD - Its the 120K that is a problem :)
Let me know when your Mangina can take these waters and we will go out and shoot some fish. :D

John, I'm only renting this thing for twenty years and I'm sure you could too. I told my wife that we could build a nice house on our lot in Hudson(for less $$) or get a new boat for the lift. The new boat won, I already got a house. It's not about the total cost, I could be dead any day, you just never know. I just lost a good friend and fraterinity brother the other day (TOM RIVERS) and he was only 38 and had life by the balls, and plenty of $$.
My mangina is almost ready.:D I have to figure out where and how I'm gonna store tanks so your input would be appreciated after you see the boat.

Some other stuff I forgot to mention:
I am in the process of rewiring the boat, so there will be none of the ever typical wiring problems with a used boat. All tinned wire, first class.
I also have a Yamaha fuel management gauge, which is essential for middlegrounds trips.
Negotiable in the deal is a nearly full 55 gallon drum of Yamalube.

That's definately a great price for that boat. Rigged out, solid, and fast...engines look brand new!

That is a classic hull and rock solid.... big enough to go almost anywhere and still small enough to trailer and afford.
IMHO that is a good buy.
Just wish I was not building a new house right now:rolleyes:

Spearchucker,
Pursuit makes a fine boat & your price is very fair. Don't blame you for wanting a cat, though, they will spoil you. Is that black piece made of starboard/plastic a speargun rack? If so where did you buy it & how much?

Yes, that's a speargun rack.

Are those black covers on your dash made of plexiglass? What are those, instrument panel covers or something? Where'd you buy them and how much?
Spearchucker
04-12-2004, 08:33 PM
Well the only time mine has hit 57 has been on the trailer, but it does do pretty good. The boat is sold, as drop zone in JAX is buying it Wednesday.
The instrument panels are black plexiglass. I bought a sheet of it and made them myself. The center area is clear plexiglass. I have a "heat tape" that I use to heat up the plexi so I can bend it, then I fine tune the bend with a heat gun. Plexi glass is about $80 for a 4 x 8 sheet. I have plenty extra if anyone wants any.
Stay tuned for the next boat, a 25' Sea Cat with twin 140 Suzy four strokes.

Dude, I was just yanking your chain after the "Now we can get back to selling my boat" comment. :)
Nice work on the instrument panels though.

Unlike Bucket Boy, I'm stuck in a real job. My boat does 30, which for most of the outboard crowd isn't nearly fast enough.
