I have now found the perfect way to lose weight. This is not a pill or some other miracle cure. It must become a way of life....

First, head to the beach with freediving and hunting gear prepared to battle mother ocean for your meal.
Next, spend 2 hours in sub 60 degree water looking for fish to shoot with your trusty speargun. When this doesn't work due to the fish running away from you into the low vis conditions all morning like you have some sort of submarine plague, realize that you are now faced with basic survival and give up the spearfishing for the day.
Next, spend another 45 minutes wrestling scallops from their home imbedded in the rocks. If you don't bring your pry bar, you probably can't even get your daily limit of 10.
Take this measly catch home and make the best of it by sauteeing the scallops in your favorite way and serving them over pasta. Enjoy the taste of success, while you can of course, because it's a small meal.

When all is said and done...
Energy expended = 4000+ calories
Energy replaced by your "hunting" = 1500 calories (if you eat plenty of pasta!)
Calorie deficit = 2500 calories
See, spearfishing can be the perfect diet for losing weight. You just have to do it right! :D ;) :( :( :(

Hey, I like it!!! Who needs Jenny Craig or Atkins? We have the Dakahuna Diet. I can just see myself modeling the before and after pictures: Before (in my MXXL wetsuit)...After (in a floral-patterned Speedo with bright, white shrimp boots).
