One of the young divers here in NZ got a 213kg Blue in the weekend.
Story goes , it was glassy calm and they were trolling lures and entered in a fishing comp, it was his turn on the chair but they spotted a tailer so he jumped in in boardshorts and smashed it in the guts with a 3 rubber riffe attached to a 35L RA hippo via a RA bluewater bungee. Over the next 2.5 hours he shot it 3 more times and said it got quite fired up and went beserk, it was lashing at him with its bill on occasion then it eventually died, as blues do.
NZ record.

He brought his guns into the shop today to be restrung so I checked out his photos. Impressive to say the least.

They were on his fancy James Bond phone. My photo browsing kept on being interrupted by reporters calling him up.

Nope, I'm in Auckland- 2.5hrs away from the Bay. I get up there maybe 2-3 times a year.

Thanks Kiwi, I was at the Marlin Club @ BOI and the fisherman treated this
spero like a true guest, and Lake Taupo is a fly fishers dream. New Zealand is
the best place I've ever been.:thumps:
