Went out with CaptainLeo, campbellc0321, carlsbadspearo, patrick, zenspearo, and ryddragyn. I just wanted to thank Captain Leo and all of you guys for a splendid day on the water today.

CHARTER BOAT REVIEW:
Leo - your boat kicks ass! The hot water supply is a HUGE bonus and selling point. I like how the water was not just warm, but super warm. I am such a hot water hog and this was a real treat for a rather cold dive. That is going to be a life saver for some of those really really frigid dive trips.

Your boat is clean and neat. Its got tons of space, its free of clutter, it doesn't smell - its very well cared for, yet one would not be afraid to dirty up the deck with a bunch of dive gear or bloody fish. Its a wonderful, huge dive platform. With all these guys on the boat, I did not feel at all crowded.

I also like how the cabin has a door and privacy. Its really nice to be able to change into/out of my bikini and wetsuit without feeling stared at. Huge plus for the ladies divers!!!

The snacks, drinks, ice and ample cooler space were very nice! Though I forgot to bring my own coffee and soup to warm up, I'll be using that microwave of yours on future trips.

Thank you also for making sure my guns were secured and safely stowed during travel.

I enjoyed the help loading my gear in and out of the water - boat service was great!

If you ever offer overnight trips, that would be awesome.

I hope to dive with all of you guys many more times in the future. You're a great bunch to hang out with. Needless to say, I enjoyed my first spearfishing charter! I hope this will be the first of many boat trips this year, I think I'm spoiled rotten at this point! lol! I hope to soil your deck with a bunch of dead YT and WSB this year. That big deck of yours is just begging to be painted with blood!

Yours,

Kelsey and Alex

PS - Thank you Joe for the hot cup of noodles when we were done w/ our dives. That hit the spot - I really have to get one of those handy heaters... ^_^

Very nice report.

Exactly my feelings--spacious deck, hot water, gracious crew.

Had a great time and thanks guys.

+1 w00t 4 le0!!!1! that boat needs to see some banks, maybe bishop rock.. :D

great day, great boat, great swimstep. as my ego tells me that hot water is for sissies and old people, i cant comment on that. but the deckspace was awesome, the rails were perfect for sitting on while spitting my skoal while underway, and them twin 7liters sound beautiful while underway. nothing like the sweet sound of torque. and the sweet smell of nothing. no oil, gas, exhaust, rotten fish juice, etc. great boat, (very well maintained), and a great cap'n! thats what i'm talkin about!

Yeah, but at least we're warm sissies who don't smell like bus station urinals!! Great seeing you again patrick.

The boiling hot water was great to have, as were all the good friends on the boat. Hope to do many more dives with you guys in the future.

I had a kickass time on the boat and in the water. Got my personal best kelp crab! Check out this monster.

Thanks for the kind words. It is nice to know that everybody enjoyed themselves. I am really bummed that the viz was as crappy as it was. Anyway, thanks again and hope to fish with you guys again.

Hard to add much to that thorough report by Kelsea, so I'll just second everything she said. Great boat, and that hot water is fantastic. BTW, I think diving in a wetsuit is for sissies and old people, I only dive in the nude. As an added bonus the little worm dance calls in the BIG perch.

Thanks for a fun day Leo, hope to do it again soon.

With all Leo's experience in our waters I am sure he will have some very successful trips this year. I am going to try to get on at least 1.

Dammit Leo, now you've gone and spoiled her. On my boat the ladies always have to change out in the cockpit, and I was hoping that I could convince her that this was the norm on all boats.

Sorry, Bill, but you apparently don't know about surveillance cameras. You know, just to make sure the ladies aren't stealing anything while in there by themselves. It's strictly for protection reasons.

No, Ryan, unfortunately the viz was not cooperating the other day. Alex did also manage to get himself a sheephead to go with his crab. Take that crab and stuff it in some sheephead fillets and you got yourself a nice little dinner.

Trip review 09/09/09:

Fantastic conditions! 100' of viz, easy. Flat 70 degree water. 21 miles out, to the 181? Lots of dorado, some yellowtail.

Thanks again Leo and Daniel for a great trip. You guys know how to work the paddies, and provide a very comfortable and fun atmosphere...even after one of the customers ate your lunch, and another jumped off the stern when he shouldn't have.

My friends and I will definitely be back for more, if you'll let us back on that is. :D

The water is warming up pretty good right now. Well, maybe not warm for you, but warm for us. Haha. There have been some nice fish taken lately on the local kelp beds. Nothing offshore just yet. Anyway, if you have any questions or anything just give me a call. Thanks.
