Hey gang!

I'm going to be heading down to the Futura Yacht club again this year, this time in Mid-Aug to Mid-Sept.

I've towed my boat down there before (from Virginia!), and it's a great place to stay.

But last time I was there I wasn't into spearfishing like I am now.

Couple of quick questions:

1. Is there a good website to get fishing regulation/season information? (For both hook and line, and spearfishing)

2. I have a 19' cc modified V-hull and am used to diving no viz water (5-15 ft). Any spots that you would recommend to shoot some dinner?

Anyone interested in buddying up while I'm down there, like taking two boats out to a location or something?

I'll have my scuba gear, but no buddy. I've dived alone before...but I don't prefer it. I'll probably freedive while my wife fishes from the boat (trying to avoid the chum slick. :) )

Any advice, info, etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Matt

i'm always up for meeting up and killing.

islamorada is where you have to be 3 miles out, so the spearing is tougher.

i'm sure i'll have some numbers by then

or you can roll the boat down here to marathon and dive tons of stuff wherever you want.

keep in touch

just do a search for "florida fishing regulations" on the net...something will turn up

Hey Kite, where have you been at lately? I have missed your sardonic wit. :D

Scott:

I was in Tahoe last week and have been slogging my way through tax returns and trusts this week. I have been too busy and tired to harrass you all much lately although I do still try to keep an eye on things. Maybe I could delegate some of my more sardonic duties for minions to dictate and transcribe - or so I've been told! :D

Glad to see that you were able to get rid of your tanks so quickly. The Spearboard Open sure seems to be taking shape again this year. I'm sorry that I will have to miss it although I will be buying a t shirt and raffle ticket. That North Carolina trip prize sounds great. Sure was nice of Daryl Wong to get involved this year by donating those great guns; it really sweetens up things for the women and juniors.
