I'm looking for a new kayak. I have a Caper, which I really liked and dove off a lot. I want something with a little more weight capacity and a little faster. I used a scupper pro and really liked it. It was about twice as fast as my caper. I want to have the option of bringing multiple tanks out on the yak to dive for halibut. I also want the added speed and storage to do some overnight trips. The scupper pro looks like a good one. Does anybody have any other recommendations? Or have any for sale?
Thanks!
Kale

Kale take a look at the trident prowler 15 line they are a little larger than the scupper pro will carry more weight and have a neat rodwell which is big enough to hold a speargun.

I was looking at the scupper pro too and wanted one bad but when I figure in my weight and all my gear if I want to tank dive with two tanks up north I would be at or above the limit for the scupper pro.

The trident 15 has about 150 lbs more capacity than the scupper is about 3 inches wider and a foot longer. and has that nice gun storage compartment.

Here is my yak. I can CRUISE at 5mph per GPS for hours. I have dove off it for years at 2 or 3 times a week average. The Mirage drive can be lifted out in 5sec if you get into kelp. The plug in cart is perfect. There is no dive yak faster and more comfortable than the Hobie Adventure. You can work a hand held GPS, cell phone and hand held fishfinder at the same time while peddling at 5mph. Mine has been tested and is unsinkable in saltwater. I have hauled me and a scuba dive buddy 3mi off shore. The best is never cheap:p
Let me know if I can help further
the above is just my opinion

I'm deffinately going to check out the Trident. I want to be able to fit a 120 in the hatch. I'm 220lbs so the extra weight capacity will be nice for tank diving. Launching the yak and paddling out for one tank isn't really worth it for me. I want to work some deeper areas for halis. My uncle has the hobie, I will check his out. I'll check out the cobras also.
