Went out Sunday on my boat with 4 shooters. Seas had been forcast at 1-2 but were flat. Hoped the cold weather would keep most boats in but not the case. First 4 spots I went to covered up with fishing boats. Went out @ 20 miles to an obscure private number and there were the commercial guys. Went to another close by spot and finally got to dive @ 10:00 AM. Water temp 59 degrees but comfortable in my 7 mil and hood. Visibility very good at 35-40 feet. Hit two more spots closer in @ 15 miles. Vis good at 25 feet. Tried a 4:30 pm dive but bailed after 7 minutes as sun was so low visibility had dropped to 5 feet. We managed just 4 greys to 23 pounds and one snap over the course of the day. The detachable tricut working well no losses. Finally got back to dock at 6:00 pm. Next trip Im going to try during the week when the boat traffic isnt so heavy. Working on the Jax tournement details should have some more info in next few days.
