My buddy Brian and I went out yesterday off of boomers. In close the vis was probably 15-20. Nothing to special. there is still tons of bait but we didnt see anything worth while. Then we headed out to the outer edge and it was badass. the vis was 40 plus feet. we could see our anchor from the surface perfectly. The cuda were everywhere. Huge schools of them going after all the smelt. Even though we got 0 fish, it was some sweet diving.
Kyle, the islands have to be going off right now with vis.
Couple weeks right?

Thanks,

Every time I go out to San Diego, I look out over the water and wonder if someone is spearing.

Does my heart good to know there are spear brothers everywhere

Hey Rick, been following your posts. Seems like you know a little about the islands. I have an 18 ft CC that will get us there easy. Good to go with the permits and license. I have fished out there many times but have never been diving. Eager to learn the spots. Drop me a line and we can head out there to see what's going on. YT or WSB?

I heard threw the grapevine--Yellows in la jolla-last two days. The sportboats were chasing them, but they could not get a bite going. A few were landed by kayakers.
