Mushkey, some friends and myself went for some freediving in the dade county area and manadged a nice mixed bag, the highligth for me was wrastling this black out of a crack away from a 6 foot green moray in a big coral head that we had made no less than 30 dives on, each before taking a shot in the dark after I saw the faint white line at the tip of his tail.
the conditions were great, clean water and ligth swells............

Duuuude,
You need to ease back off the power on your gun, your blowin' the tail end out of them fish! If you hit them in the brain, you don't need that much power.
No seriously, nice fish. :D

that rear end carnage was inflicted by the grouper's roomate, the green moray, i talked about in the thread. It bit clean throught the back bone. The entry wounds from the spear are on the other side of the fish rigth at the top corner of the gills about 6 inches apart but since the angles were diffrent they exited about an inch apart, the guns were fired with one band since it was in a hole under an over hang, the two dots behind the eye are the exit wounds. not bad grouping for a wong and a RA after I rolled him inside their master suite I had to spend a minute getting my breath before extraceting him from the coral chamber and the green bastard was having a field day with my black.

Now that you have one round one it's time to move up to the next competetor. Round two is a three hundred pound Jewfish trying to do the snatch and grab. Round three involves the tax collector. Nice fish.

Spearoo - are you shooting down your way and then driving over or are you coming over here for some gulf action?

Im going to the hatch mecca of steel slinging for my formal induction into the clan of the liberated shafts and of course the usal carnage. I am stoked that Reds will be game for the open, a fatty would be the best prize i could ever hope for. I know the JRII can take me there, I just got to be on point.
c'yall there.
