Hey all,

I'm in the process of building a dive board. I will be attaching my ab float (minus the tube) to the board. I punched grommets through the bottom of the float, and I will be screwing it all together using long stainless screws, fender washers, and nuts. I also ran 1/2" pvc spacers in the board. This way, I can crank the screws down to make sure the float is holding and I won't crush the board or tear it when force is applied to the bag. I need to seal the PVC in the board and then a fender washer to the board on each side of the PVC. My main goal is to keep the board from getting water logged

I tried sealing it all up with some sealer for tubs/toilets. It didn't cure (been 3 days). So, what type of sealer should I use?

no need for sealant the foam is "closed cell" it will only waterlog if u break the all the cell walls by doing things like bending the board 90 or leaveing it out it the yard in the sun all the time. drilling a hole will only expose the cells right at the hole . look at the stock leash plug it wont be sealed

3M 4200 fast cure. You can find it at West Marine, sometimes WalMart in the boating area, also sold at my Home Depot, in 3 oz tubes.
