Left out at 7pm Friday night and anchored up in 170. The beeliner bite was on pretty good. Had lines in the water before sunup to try and catch the early tuna bite. not 10 min after sunrise every rod bends over. One chinese firedrill later we get several fish to the boat.... DAMN Little Tunnys! Trolled the rest of the day without a knockdown. We did find some really nice spots for deep dives later this year. 150' dropping straight down to 182 covered with fish. Can't wait to hit that.

Said to hell with this and headed to shoot dinner. Hit a spot in 100-110 and screwed up on a fat daddy hog. I had decided to try and put a Piece of band on my freeshaft to keep the shaft from going all the way through a fish. It acted like a friggin rudder and threw the shot way off. DAM! Good news is that Les found The new guys gun that was lost last month.

Good day. I was happy to see the genuines make an appearance. Rob was lobster king. He came up with 4 spineys and 2 slippers in one dive. Tuna should be showing up more consistantly shortly. Rob was chomping at the bit to shoot a peanut dolphin under a log. Will dump him overboard next time. I figured it would flee, but hung around and let us toss every lure on the boat to him to inspect.

Man, those 4 - 6 inch seas made for some sloppy conditions...

Really rough on the ol' 23,500lb boat. I had to laugh (internally of course) at Rob and Newb taking dramamine from the get-go!!!! You coming on the next trip gum?

When is the next trip?

I worked for the last 9 days straight putting siding on my house, so I figure I have some "me" time coming soon...

Man, I'm jealous. I was down there the first week in April, but didn't get out because they couldn't get a full charter. I'll be down the first two weeks in August if you all want another gun on the boat. I'm movin down for to go to College of Charleston in the fall, so I you ever have a spot, just let me know. Look forward to meeting all you local boys sometime.

That's a 157' ledge absolutely straight down to 183. Amazing looking on the screen. That is where we anchored up overnight and caught footballs to 6lb all night. It was awesome. That 28 lb hog and 15 lb lobster is hanging out there I just know it.

I think you guys need some help over there in Charleston. Wife is heade out of town the weekend of 15 - 16 May and was trying to get a ride with one the Cooper River boats. They are all booked up. If you could put it together, I got another friend in Savannah that I could drag along if we needed another gun.
Sure would like to run into one of those big hogs! I'm starting to run low (in my freezer) on grouper.
