This may be a hard question but does anyone know the weight difference between a riffe slip tip and a mori slip tip here is the hard part 9/32 size.

Why do you want to know? I am guessing that they are pretty close...

I wish I had not sold my Riffe tips years ago, because I have a sensitive electronic kitchen scale that could answer the question.
But without being precise, the difference has to be very large. The Riffe tip is 3/8" in diameter, while a Mori 9/32" tip is (surprise) just 9/32" in diameter.
If I have my math for the area of a circle right, and assuming the same length, the Riffe should be 1.77 times as heavy as the 9/32" Mori.

The Mori 9/32 tip is probably half the weight of the Icepick.
Edit: Bill beat me to it.
Edit #2: Both tips have their place in the world. For versatility, I think the Plamen Kolev tips are hard to beat.

Thanks to both of you:beer: I was thinking maybe the same thing but really was not sure.
The reason for the question is I'm going to add 4 maybe 5 inches in length to the shaft I'm using as of now and it's going to add weight. So I want to use the lighties tip possible but still want a good one. And I have a 9/32 riffe in the junk draw that has never be used.

Chris - Why are you looking to lengthen your shaft?

The Plamen Kolev tips are indeed nice, but they are 5/16" in diameter. If you want the lightest possible, then Mori is the only one offering 9/32".
BTW, have I ever met you?

I like my 4" JPL Tri Cut Slip Tip for combo Hali/WSB hunts. Cheap and durable. Bills formula is pretty close with the Mori to Riffe comparison.

It was a joke.
A couple of days ago, he reminded me that I had met him four times and dove with him once, so I was just acting my age.
