Portland Area, Northern Oregon SW Washington peeps

I though I would start a thread to localize some users that are in the Portland area so people can PM each other to find buddies in the area.


I'll be back in the Portland area this summer from May to July 2009. I just have one online class and plan to play the rest of the time.

I picked up Spearfishing in the virgin islands this year while living here with my wife. I'd say I'm intermediate to advanced, but it's shallow hear so my depths are more in the less-than-50 range. I'd like to do some 100 foot stuff though!

I'll be up for heading to the water pretty much any day of the week. I have a white water raft if anyone is interested along with some climbing gear for a couple people. I also have access to a a small aluminum boat, camper, and jetski if we want to tow a jetski for places with current.

I have only done rod and real in Oregon, so I'm interested in spearing once I get back and learning the environment. I have a dry suit and will probably use that. I'm up for learning anything, training, etc or helping beginners learn how to rig a gun, make bands, or just hang out and drink a beer. HI I just recently moved back in to the Portland area after a 2 year absence. The spearers in the northwest seem to be very quite as though none existent. I'm sure they are here just don't seem to speak much. anyway I was wondering if there is any good diving arias north of Lincoln city? I'm a newbe with spearfishing only second year but would like to lern from a local.

hey stewfish. I am in the portland area and would love to go out any time. I usally just free dive and am pretty much a beginner. How do you pm someone? Hopefully you see this.
