One look at the sexy Black Walnut handle and I had to do one myself. Didn't have any Black Walnut, but found some beautiful pieces of Teak in my shop. Going to finish with rough surface in finger groves and on rear of handle. Going to leave the sides smooth though.
Obviously this is going to be a over and under Axe. Planning a 60" 11/32 shaft with a slip tip, 4 5/8 bands and a breakaway on the top. The bottom will be a 48" 9/32 W/flopper, 2 9/16 bands and rigged with a reel. The bottom will have a safety. This should be an excellent Axe ! I will post pics as it comes along.
