How many times will I allow the NWS to lead me down this primrose path, only to change projected conditions as I'm conducting my dive plan the night before?

Please, let it be true this time .... I don't care if there is no vis ... I'll line shaft with my smallest speargun (aka, the "noisy cricket").

TUESDAY: NORTH WINDS 5 TO 10 KNOTS. SEAS 1 TO 3 FEET. BAY AND INLAND WATERS A LIGHT CHOP.

WEDNESDAY: EAST WINDS 5 TO 10 KNOTS. SEAS 1 TO 3 FEET. BAY AND INLAND WATERS A LIGHT CHOP.

hey you might get a chance to go get some of those "reef zombies" that are covering every rock in the bay and just off the beaches. give them a 10 second head start before you shoot. don't want it to be unsporting. or better yet just use a lobster snare like seastalker!

i actually almost did get a nice 25lb gag on the east coast last lobster season that wouldn't move from under the ledge. we didn't have our spear guns so i had my buddie shine the light and i worked the snare over his tail. i had him good until i let go of the handle. the sinch that holds it closed was not enough to keep that gag from getting just enough wingle room to get out. if i would've held the handle and let my buddie grab him by the throat we would've had a true lasoed grouper. further down the ledge my dad saw the same fish and put the gun right next to his head and strung him up. the fish had a visible laso mark around his tail and scratches all up and down his sides from me yankin him out of the ledge. mark my words! one day i will laso a grouper. that would make for some good video!

Tuesday EAST wind, flat seas, first two good days in a row after weeks of poor weather, Middlegrounds, more than 2' vis, the Middlegrounds wreck, large gags (reef zombies), even larger amberjacks, brand new Sabalo splattered with fish blood, early 2003 Seals tournament points, epic Spearboard report Wednesday linked to FS which is deleted in microseconds, shall I continue my stream of conciousness thinking?

Scott you damn dive tease promising us flat seas!:D . I'm sure that Tarpon-Suwannee forecast is a typo, it will change for the worse tomorrow.

Hey Ed, good to see you in here! Send a private message to Fishkilla' and he might hook you up. Check out his Middlegrounds video he took on one of our Jolly Rogers charters. The link is here on Spearboard.

Synopsis
A cold front will cross the waters overnight. High pressure will settle over the area on Saturday. Weak low pressure will pass south of the waters Sunday through early Monday...with another area of high pressure building in for next week.

c'mon guys... do you actually read the forcasts... just look at the facts and stop letting the marine weather forcasters tease you. weak low pressure with another area of high pressure building in for the next week. mmkayyy... what that means is... it's gonna blow all week! all you have to do is look at where fronts are and the time inbetween them. i'm writing off diving until march sometime... anything before that is a bonus. this is the time of year to do boat maintenence and quality time with the family. besides it's not fair to shoot "reef zombies."

The wind blows worse in March than any other month by my experience. The problem with these El Nino's is they are still affecting the weather all the way into June and sometimes July!

march september... it's all the same we're never going to get back to two dive trips a week. i'm putting all my equipment in the criogenic freezer and i might even join it myself... maybe in the year 2012 we will have calm seas. i've heard that snappy new bands stay fresh in the deep freeze.

who's still down for the first annual seffner feline frienzy. this time i'm not kidding. i've got to shoot something.
