Duck Key 4/23-27

I'm heading down for a little vacation with the family. (I'm bringing my boat of course) We are staying at Hawks Cay, two other guys don't shoot so they are just coming along to watch. I shot some grouper and snapper off middle marathon last summer and would like to get to know the duck key area, if the seas allow? Seastalker introduced me to spear fishing a while ago and I need to catch up as I've been working to much up here in Orlando and hope to get out spearing if the wind allows on Sunday am, just wondering if any of you guys would like to head out if we can make it?

i freedive out of duck key regulary. u can head offshore and look for patches or get some gps numbers and look up reefs but i havent been down in a month or so so im not sure whats workin right now

Thanks Pete, lookslike the wind is 15+ all weekend out of the east, probably going to stay on the gulf side, we'll see, thanks

The report for the area forecasted 2 ft seas inside the reefs, and 4-6ft out side. You should be fine...
