Dove yesterday near Redoubt Lake for rock scallops. Temp was great 53 on the surface 52 at 30 feet. I dove a wetsuit for the first time up here worked out great not cold at all! Vis sucked until you got below 15 feet then it was gin clear. Never dove for rock scallops before so got a little advise from a friend and gave it a go. One bottle each yeilded the 2 of us 6 scallops to 7 inches across and an empty ab shell for the yard. Saw a few others that we couldn't get off the rocks. Just as a note a dive knife is not the right tool for this job, my new knife looks like crap now. Now that we know what to look for we should have it dialed in pretty quick. A few other spots I want to try before our season gets started and I dont have time anymore. Will post pics later tonight as I forgot the camera on the boat for a second time this week.
