Malibu divers need to contact me...ASAP. Meeting, Wed. May 6, 7:30pm.

If you call Malibu home, you had better listen up: There are some new developments in regards to the Malibu area, and we need to talk. I will have a meeting on Wed. may 6. The location will only be given out via PM or email. There are certain specific habitat criteria that need to be met, and there are several iterations of proposals for Malibu. Beofre I go to the FIN meeting and I am forced to make a VERY tough decision, I would like to meet with the divers who call Malibu their home turf. We have a great many divers who are working like bees on PV and La Jolla, which is great. But lots of us dive Malibu, and we need to come to an agreement as to what we have to do, and what we can actually get done. People WILL be harmed by what happens in this next phase. Please be involved and help us with reasoning as to what we fight for, and WHY.
Sorry I am in hyper mode here lately. When this is all over, I invite all of you to tie anchors to my ankles, and push me overboard on the high spot of the Osborn Bank. That will make you feel better!!:bashhead::yup:

In the end though, we're all CALIFORNIA divers. That was some scary shit in the PM. I've dove most of those spots and it sucks to lose any of them, let alone all.

So can you explain what going on? Why so much secrecy? MPLA has been wanting to close all of PV, is same thing happens in malibu? or is there something more serious?

SB is heavily monitored and trolled. There is no sense projecting our strategy unless absolutely necessary to get people moving.

Can someone please shoot me an email with some details? Also, keep in mind that closures in Malibu will affect PV and vice versa in terms of the overcrowding of consumptives into small areas.

That's a good idea!! We do not have the back room, so we will be working loosely over the booths we can grab. No big deal, this is pretty informal, and should onl;y last about 3 pitchers of beer. Well, actually we will take longer than 10 minutes. Let's say it will only take 5 pitchers of beer to get through the meeting!!! Thank you for coming out of the woodwork, it will make me feel a LOT better when I go to the FIN meeting and I can say "Look, we can kinda live with this... but no way in hell can we live with that!!"
