Hey All,
I am going to marathon next week for vacation. I am staying at key colony beach area. Where can you legally spearfish? Also is it pretty easy to find muttons and groupers..?? Unfortunately I do not have any numbers for Marathon ( I live in Tampa) and do not know anyone in the keys. I took at look at waterproof charts number 10f... I am assuming that those numbers are crap. Any info would be great.

Email me. I'll set you up. Pretty much anything in Marathon area along the outer reef is fair game. The wall near the thunderbolt is very nice. Tons of stuff within a mile of the thunderblot.

What worked for Keezdiver and myself last weekend, was to throw out the GPS, head south until 60 fsw and dive till you see fish.

off marathon you can spear anyplace, abbiding the distance restrictions on beaches and piers.
the bolt is a great dive...specially if you swim off the bow into the bridge rubble.
anywhere along the reef line these days should provide some muttons, gags and blacks...
need anybody to fill a boat? i would love to go out
