Well its not spearing but I thought this was a pretty cool pic. The fish my client was fighting on a remote grassflat was being stubborn in 3 or 4 feet of water so I just went in and grabbed it. He joined me in the water and we got a few pics before sending him on his way. Lotta tarpon here in SW Fla.

Great pic, Ed. Nothing like the thrill of getting bit in Boca Grande, and watching with anticipation as the fish races for the surface, and you prepare your "bow" to throw slack into the line, and prevent him from shaking the hook.
I think now-a-days targeting them on the beach would be more my speed. A little more elbow room, although I do admit I would miss some of the bikini clad occupants of some of the larger pass boats.

Two days later in the same shallow area...10 foot hammerhead eating our tarpon. That might be the last in the water pic for a while...

Ed, that is such a beautiful fish and makes for a stunning picture....even makes you guys look good! :D
Is that a big fin I see behind you? You shoulda seen the hammerheard I just saw......I'm gonna be doing 360's for awhile now.
