Hey Y'all. A buddy and myself launched out of Dana yesterday evening and headed out to the South San Juan Rock Kelp, just south of Salt Creek and anchored in about 65'. We could see the blotches of red tide towards shore. The vis at the outer kelp was 40'+. Best I have seen all year, and get this, the temp was 68.2!!!! Temp dropped to a chilly 58 at 35' below. We hunted until dark, and saw about 10 sand sharks, probably about 30 pounds each or so. Tons and tons and tons of bait would come crusing through, but no palagics. No wind with swells about 5' at 12 seconds.
