Not an emergency and I am not at the island yet. I am going to be there for two weeks and I am currently under medical treatment. I must give a prescription for the treatment, but I am concerned that my out of state prescription might not be accepted at the hospital. My doctor advised me to find a doctor in Hawaii to call my doctor to see if they would write the prescription for me. I have one week left before I arrive.

I actually might have found the help that I need through the resort concierge. But as of right now, I am still searching.

My health plan let me fill any perscriptions I needed in advance due to the vacation plans.

it's a prescription for a treatment also requiring an x-ray.

check with the hospital or therapists that you will be using in kona
almost anyone will take a prescription if your medical plan pays for it

I have been in the ER room twice south of Kona. I have been to two different Doctors north of Kona in Wiamea (SP?) Where exactly are you staying. I did not have problems getting prescriptions filled from local and out of state doctors. IF you would like more information for the reasons and locations please send me a PM i would be glad help you in anyway possible

I am getting close to having everything planned out. Monday I will know if we are going to be okay.
