Its a very wide stable kayak. I fished with one in florida for a few years. It was stable enough I could stand up and fight fish. I dove off of it a few times and it is definitely easy to get in and out of. Its not the fastest kayak but it is a good craft.

I have had a 140 for a few years. I love it. It is really stable and easy to dive out of. PAddles well. I have been stuck down wind at sea ranch when the wind had come up to 25 knots and was able to paddle back faster / easier than my dive buddies on prowlers. The Tarpon is a bit heavier than some of the other models so it is a bit tougher to carry solo. I recommend the rudder system to keep you tracking straight. I also use the center hatch to store my weight belt. it seems to make the boat even more stable and is easy to put on in the boat.
