I just picked up the nice new trophies for this year's PBO.

Tony, my schedule doesn't let me participate this year but we went to come to the weigh-in. What's the cost to just attend the weigh-in?

Looking forward to it Tony.

DiveGal...It does not cost anything to attend the weigh-in or the awards ceremony. If you would like to eat, it is $15/ meal ticket.

Emily, it is best to buy them in advance on line so we have a good count for the food service. Go to www.spearwars.com to get the tickets. Tony

Dane is a good hunter and would be an asset to any team. I recommend him is you need another shooter on your team. Tony

Last Year's event was a first. The venue is great with its air conditioned facility!

Check out the action last year at this link to get an idea if you did not make it.

Are red snapper in this round of the tournament series?

That's a great question considering the fishery will still be open.

I would've thought that after a week this question would've been answered for me and my crew that were thinking about shooting the PBO but I guess not. It makes me wonder about other things since there are no clear rules listed any where about this and I can not get a simple question answered.

Likewise. Last night I received the sign up packet in the mail and I thought I would get an answer there but it only contained an information sheet and the waiver and registration forms. No rules or anything regarding boundaries, wigh-in time, locations, or eligible fish

I've been under the weather and extremely busy and I should have put this information up last week.

You can shoot red snapper. All of the rules, boundaries, eligible fish, etc. can be found at the link below.

I would post rule changes but the only one is the red snapper inclusion.

Minimum size is 20 inches (consistent with the east coast) NOT 16" as allowed in the gulf.

The ebb and flow of this competition is amazing. Red snapper helps Brian and his team. Len Gradyman told me today his team is going out and of course they are north east coasters with formidable track records. Today I hear from Joe S. who is going out with Team Headhunter fixture Mark Dewayne on the west coast which is a team known for filling categories with big fish. Southern east coasters are hatching major plans as well to try and take top prizes. All in all it looks to be a fun PBO, but it is anyone's guess who the favorites are this time.
