we went out of st. aug. today.the seas were pretty good. The water temp was 58. The vis was around 40 ft.
Me and Seabeast came home empty handed but my other buddy Ed got 3 gags and 4 flounder . His gags were 20lb, 21lb and one around 10 lbs. The gags are still out there but not as many and they have gotten a little smarter. I did shoot one with a break-away and he got off. Then I shot one with a 357 powerhead and I must have just hit In the gill plate because he swam off. Over all it was still a good day .

Glad you guys got out.How far were you out for the 58 WT.I'm taking a shot at Sunday outta Jax to add some "zombie grouper" to the snapper in the freezer. What'd ya'll wear?My candy ass will be in a 2 piece 7mil Henderson goldcore with a 3 mil hood. We're lookin at 80' if possible so I've got up to an hour per dive if needed.Talked to some commercial youngsters today who have been hitting 9mile,BB and MR ,still good there 2.

we stayed within 20 miles. I wore a two piece 6.5 mil and hood, Ed and Seabeast both had 7 mil one piece and hood. I was not cold at all. I think what really helps is if the sun is out and stay warm between dives, however I can't find my knads and I have two mysterious lumps in my throat(just kidding).
Seabeast let me know when you want to go on you're boat I'd like to check out some of you're flagler spots!

Lib Hound - Glad yall got out. The tortugas trip was fun but didnt get lots of fish. Dans son Chris was the big shooter with 3 - 4 20 - 40 pound blacks, some nice muttons and @ 6 of the biggest triggers Ive ever seen @5 - 8 pounds. Doug and I managed just one black, 2 -3 red grouper, 6-7 smallish hogs and 4 of the jumbo triggers. Water temp was 71 -73 degrees. Seas were rockin at 4 -6 on Friday inside the reef. Wind 25 - 30. Laid down to 3-4 on Sat + Sun. Lets plan a trip out of Jax soon and see if we can find some 68 degree water out past 16 + 17's. Ought to be about time for the fish to start showing on the ledges.
