View Full Version : Did I over do it?

So I am going to the Bahamas, and decided to purchase a 10 ft. Gat-Ku Polespear with a slip tip. I just got it today, and it seems way to big. I bought to shoot big snapper and grouper. Thoughts?

These things always look huge on land, but once it is cocked and ready and you are pointing it towards a fish you will be surprised how easy it is to manoevre. Let us know how you find it, but don't stress man. Don't expect it to as easy to move around like a 6footer, but you will get serious range and penetration and I hope you find it is awesome.

Thanks for the words of comfort. I just imagined it being similar to maneuvering a pool net. I'll keep everyone posted.

I just got back from the Bahamas and my 8 footer left me about 2 feet shy of putting some nice muttons in the boat. I think you will be good.
I have never seen so many big muttons just out of range, I even grazed a few.
Saw some nice blacks as well.
Good luck.
