Way to go son, I'm proud of you!!! You're going to have enough Diver's Direct inventory to open your own franchise :D.

i put this whole win on the captain. tim fletcher of cool beans charters put us on some sweet drops. it was just a matter of pulling the trigger. the big rusty got the business end of my new ocean rhino. what made the shot easy was the light attachment to the kill spike. this cool new invention is going to make life difficult for the fish.

thank you to jerry and cliff for the teamwork this is going to be a trip we will long remember. the only thing that could've made this trip better was having my dad on the team to shoot with us.

1st drop of the day and already cliff is having mental and physical reactions to the deep water and the big fish.

another drop where we found some fire trucks. notice the sweet freedive shot placement on my red retard. it took three shots to subdue this beast. some dives are easy. others leave you on the bottom, feet on both sides of the hole, working your spear up and down like i'm unclogging a giant atlantic ocean toilet.

Ben, Jerry and Clifford had some impressive stringers of fish and deserved to win big over everyone else.:thumps:

It was a good day of diving and while I didn't fill all the categories it was nice to take the big grouper trophy.

The "spike light" was Dan McMahon and Ricky Hampton's idea, I just made a new version of the adapter for the UK 40 light. Dan told me how advantageous it was to have the light in front of the muzzle for those cave shots and apparently it worked very well for you. Congrats Ben.........you are definitely one of the best spearfishermen I have ever known!
