Ocean kayak prowler 15 angler

In case anyone's interested, sierratradingpost.com is listing this yak, (seconds) for $699. I have two of the prowler 13's and love them. Just got the catalog in the mail and thought I'd pass it on...

I have the prowler trident 15 It is a great yak does it come with the rod pod for that price? It is very stable and tracks well. So well it does take a while to turn without a rudder.

The catalog says it comes with rod pods, and the photo shows it. Hard telling with that outfit exactly what you're getting though. I looked at the ad again and it says "2nds". I'd call and determine exactly what you're getting before I ordered though.

Oh shoot, I misunderstood your question. I thought you meant the rod holders begind the seat. NO, I don't believe it comes with the rod pod you mentioned. Sorry for the confusion.

I have the trident model it came with the rod pod it is great to hold a speargun. This model does not have the rod pod but it does have the rod holders and a nice sized tank well. and it does have rod holders. It would probably make a nice dive yak. The front hatch will hold a prety large speargun.

I bought one on that price, came with a 6 inch hole on the bottom! So bummed, sent it back and picked up a wilderness systems Tarpon 140, taking it out to PV next week!

Only the prowler 15 "trident" have the rod pod (long center hatch) the prowler 15 is the older model which is a great boat but sans the rod pod. Rod pod is available on all "trident" prowlers and is a great way to store polespears and guns as well as the intended rods. Anyone with one can cut a foam noodle to cross the interior of the boat in two places and notch out the noodle for custom fit of gun or pole. Pretty sweet but all the prowlers are a little wide for me. (<--opinion) .good hunting...Ed
