FS: Best darn dive boat !

well I am finally going to do it - sell my boat as I want to be able to do some inshore fishing as well and this boat is too big.

The boat is a 31' Contender - Headhunter calls it the 'Rocket" and it is a tremendous dive boat for the following reasons:

- it can get you to the Middle Grounds fast and dry
- it will swallow 2 dozen tanks and gear for 6 divers with nothing visible on deck (it does have a small cuddy for gear storage)
- it has two huge fish boxes that will hide at least one large man in each
- it is damn good looking.

If you want more info just email me. Boat cruises at 40mph when loaded and is extremely "agile". Has twin 250hp Yamaha O/Bs with extended warranty. Fresh and salt water washdown and, I almost forgot - nearly $20K in brand new electronics !! $69,900.

I am taking some pics this week and will post immediately.

I did not mention it originally, but the boat was hit by lightning last year and as a result in the last 6 mos I replaced all the electronics, guages, wiring harnesses, antennas, computers in the motors, etc., replaced at a cost of over $25,000. Other than the hull, it is essentially a new boat.

The electronics package alone - including 4KW Raytheon radar, 7 inch LCD Raymarine L760 color bottom finder/chart plotter, Northstar 961 DGPS, etc - was nearly $20K.

I've been on this boat and it is very well kept and not abused at all. Marc, I'll tell ya what I'll do, My 21 paramout sounds like the perfect boat for you. I'll swap ya even and throw in the trailer.

I'll do even better than Moose. If you want a trade, I'll give you my boat (pictured here, the "middlegrounds mauler", throw in the trailer with most of the wheels, a couple of Penn long beach reels on ugly stiks, ALL the electronics, inlcuding my Hummingbird fish finder with the fish icon special feature, AND my 1987 Ford to pull it with.

Inlet - does that have the 4.3 or the 5.0 Mercruiser? Big shoutout to the welfare motors of the world. I might be interested in the "mauler" if you could get the water stains off the bottom and maybe throw a poling platform on the little swim deck. Also, a tuna tower would definately set that bitch off nice. With outriggers and some window tint it would just be OFF THE CHAIN. With a ride like that, the first thing I would do is attach me some trim tabs off the back and jes let one stay low-down in the water so as to get me that gangsta lean going on. Let me know what you want for her. She's a beaut:p

Geez, I dunno, pretty darn good offer. Let me think about it for about 3 seconds.

One thing is for sure, I know you have put an amazing number of fish on your boat - if that same guarantee went with the future owner I might have to consider.

Kind of changed my mind and thinking about keeping the Rocket (Contender) anyway - she is a fine boat as you well know !!
