Went out to a new kelp bed in Malibu today that I've never tried before.
Vis was about 20ft. Saw lots of seabass up to 40 lbs.
He ended up weighing 38. Not bad for the first time at a new spot!!!

Nice fish Brandon. Did you take the photo near Santa Monica pier even though you bagged it in Malibu?

Very nice. Wish all my new spots were as productive.
That is one beautiful freak'n fish. There are times when I envy you So. Cal Boys. But hey! We have our abalone and BIG LINGS in Nor Cal. Was wondering if that spot was where they recently opened a new access point to a beach in Malibu? I hear it's about a three mile strech. That is a lot of new territory. Just remeber PV_Spearo, you will be getting a call from me when I come down to visit my family. Until then. Take care.......

How deep are most of those fish holding?

PV, how do you have your railgun set up? do you use a breakaway rig and sliptip? Very nice fish.

The pic was taken at a freinds house in Malibu.
The fish were all on the bottom at 40-45 ft.
BTW, I dont use a railgun,I use a picasso 100cm century, and just a sigle flopper and a reel with 100ft of line..

Erik! :D Personally, I don't have a problem with it, but I think you're supposed to use asteriks in the middle of f***ing words like that. ;)
