Kauai Lobster

Hello all...

First post in this section of the site, looking for a little info from those that know. Been to Kauai a couple times, heading back sometime next year. Trying to plan my trip during lobster season and also when spearfishing is good. Is that possible?

Ideally I would like to get out on a charter dive boat that goes into Niihau waters and do some freedive spearfishing, then maybe do some tank dives for bugs.

Any recommendations, suggestions, or advice on where/when to dive is much appreciated! :beer:

Does anyone know what the dates of the '09-'10 lobster season is?

Any month with "r" in it is lobster season. May to August season is closed.

Sorry, don't know where to dive on Kauai.
