Been there, done that. Don't think I would ever go out with these guys again. Just ask my brothers. They'll tell you some stories.
Nice boat though. Just could be run alot better. We slept in the forward cabin. So you're only in the room with 5 other guys. Less targets for my snoring stick!
The gourmet chef they advertise on their website was a joke.

Full Galley - Five Star Dining provided by our
Culinary Specialist
It seems the mates flip a coin to see who will cook for that trip.

If a ‘culinary specialist’ is defined as Cookie from Beetle Bailey, then that’s a dead-on description.

Well, I was holding back in fear that my opinion was not shared.
They have an inflatable chase boat, but the lazy f*cks that run the boat, I think there were FIVE mates, would not even untie it.
Makes for a real fun swim back when you end up 300 yds away from the boat and the mates just look at you, cig dangling from the side of their mouth, as you kick your way back to the boat.
I even asked the guy that was cooking, what restaurants had he worked at. He says. "I never cooked before I got this job." Culinary Specialist my ass!! (But then again, it's not hard making a shitload of Hamburger Helper!!)
NEVER AGAIN.

I was holding back, too, but shit, if we're venting...
First, the seas weren't so good on our trip, so maybe that contributed to the generally poor attitudes and rudeness exhibited by the crew.
Second, they didn't want any of us spearfishing the first day because they intended on anchoring in the park that night. Now, this was billed as a SPEARFISHING TRIP. And before this announcement, we were told that we would be anchoring there the whole trip and it would not have an effect on our spearfishing. Then their excuse was that seas were too rough outside the park - yet we dove maybe 1/4 mile from the boundary marker. And by the way, we spearfished after that and still anchored in the same place inside the park. So for whatever reason, we were gypped out of hunting for a day and were forced to look at rocks instead.
Third, people get tired while diving, sometimes while downcurrent. It's not often, but if you have the capability of picking them up, pick them up. They had a Zodiac tied off to the stern that they absolutely refused to use. The current was ripping on that trip and caused quite a few people to miss dives because they wore themselves out getting back to the boat. Sure, you can argue that they shouldn't have let themselves end up where they did, but it happens and if you can help them out, you should.
Fourth, five star dining? Wet scrambled eggs and hash browns constitute five star dining? Hey, the food was pretty decent, but tell it like it is, and Denny's it wasn't.
We didn't have a problem with the rough seas. We didn't have a problem not shooting as much as we'd like - it's all part of the deal. We don't expect to be pampered but that entire weekend it was extremely obvious that that crew had no desire to be there and could give a rat's ass if anyone had a good time.
Just my 2 cents. Guess I'm not helping the advertisement out any.

Oh yeah, and what about the captain. That mother****er would not leave the wheelhouse if his life depended on it. He dropped his anchor SEVERAL times right onto coral heads. What the ****, why bother anchoring on the edge of the coral areas, we will just drop anchor smack dab in the middle.
The really funny thing is that the whole crew all of a sudden got real nice on Sunday morning. Trying to erase the bad feelings from the previous days and still get a tip? The captain finally comes down from his perch and says the crew will clean all the fish, but they do work for TIPS!! Well those SOB's can kiss my ass, I took my damn fish and went home.
What a RIPOFF!!!

I’m not about to go join PETA, but I have to say it was pretty sickening swimming up to a ledge or coral head and seeing a great big anchor chain sawing its way through a nice stand of elkhorn coral. Nice anchor placement there, asshole.

If we change just one person's mind about a possible trip with these amateurs, we have done our job.
Obviously this was not a fluke trip if others have the same opinion!!

Really! I'm a bit surprised that others shared the opinion!! I thought there was a remote chance that we just caught them at a really, really bad time. It makes me feel better to know, yep, tha's pretty much how they are!!
