La Jolla Update

Went out la jolla status yesterday. The water was perfect on top, no swell and very glassy. Vis was a beautiful 6-8 ft. I was slowly kicking along and I saw a shape swimming slowly underneath me. Made a quck dive and saw it was a 20-30lb. white. As I closed the distance he disappered into the murk and I shot where I thought he was but no luck. We also saw yellows swimming on the surface but the water was toooooo drty to see jack sh!t. Anybody else have any good luck out there?

Yeah,

I got two yellows on Sunday over at Catalina, they were in the
25# range. Its nice to see them showing up again!

Lots of red tide showing up again, what's up with that?:mad:

Dove north laguna yesterday evening, vis was about 10' inside, then once you got out to about 25' of water, the vis went to s##t due to red tide in the area. Saw one WSB about 15 lbs., didn't get close enough for a shot, one legal 'butt, same as before, and two short butt's, one that I actually poked with my spear tip. On the way back in I got my biggest sand bass ever, about 8+lbs. It was a decent consolation prize for seeing the white ghost but not bringing him back home with me! maybe next time. of yeah, been seeing WSB in real shallow water, about 15'.

Well at least some of you guys are hittin up the fish action:D I hope that red tide crap stays away though, last year licked balls.

did a shore dive off point loma tuesday after work, vis was about six to eight average, thought I heard croaking, but couldnt find a WSB in the murk.

Start looking for large size wsb, heard they are in!
