After a long time out of the water recovering from Knee surgery, I Got in the water 5am Brooks St , Laguna and swam East toward Cress. Just before the boilers I got on bug and a second after i got to the East side of the rock. That's when I went to check the time and there was a Computerless wrist. I spent the next hour combing the area but nada other than the third bug which I would have gladly traded for my watch. I actually promissed myself that if I found my watch I would let the bugs free. By the time I gave up the sun had been out for a while but wasn't helping. I have been thinking about going back this afternoon to look some more.
I'm going to post in the Lost and Found as well. $100 REWARD IF FOUND.
It is somewhere very near the rocks/boilers closer to shore, no more than 30 feet in any direction of the EAST side.
Hopefully an honest diver will find it if anyone does.
That sucks man but at least you got in the water!
Hope you find your watch.................

Ouch is an understatement. I still feel sick about it. I told mife wife when I got home and rather than shrug her sholders or get bent, she went to the computer and started looking for a new watch for me. My little girl asked why I was upset and my wife told her "because he depends on it". Solid Lady I've got here.
Now to find something at a decent price with just the basics.
D3 isn't easy to find being discontinued. Guess I'll be doing some searching.

Don't know how much a D3 is, but a sweet wife like that is priceless.

Bob,
That totally sucks. I know because I accidentally “threw” my D3 overboard at Catalina about two years ago. You have to take the watch off to get your wetsuit off. I always seemed to be misplacing mine so I told myself, if I make a habit of putting it in the same spot, I will always remember where it is. The spot I selected was the foot pocket in my Omer fins.
After a dive, we got underway and as I was cleaning up my gear, I picked one fin up that was full of water. I figured the second fin would also have water so I picked it up to drain the foot pocket overboard and I saw it fall. ****! Hit MOB! Hit MOB! How deep is it here? 40 ft. Stop the boat- turn around…….
I made 35 ft drops for two hours looking for that watch over a sand bottom. I could not believe I did not find it.
I have a new one and never put the thing in the foot pocket. I am back to misplacing it and trying to remember where I put the thing.

Sucks for sure, but have you seen the D4 and D6 from Suunto. Mas bueno and same price as the D3. Maybe Karma is telling you to upgrade?

Forget the keeper lobsters, sounds like you got a keeper wife right there! My wife probably would have do the same, she'd rather have me dive with the proper safety equiment too. Sorry about losing the watch.

'"Maybe Karma is telling you to upgrade?"
Sure, and maybe I should send Karma my PayPal info so Karma can help pay for a replacement?
