It appears there are a few of us on the board from Orange County, so I thought it might be worth passing this along.
A guy caught a 40# white off north Laguna over the weekend. You can see the report and picture on the Allcoast private boater's board. Granted, it was a rod 'n reel guy and it was several days ago, but it reminded me that all the guys I talked to last year that got big whites off Laguna got them in June. Maybe it's time to get serious about it.
As an aside, I dove Cottons Friday for nothing. Visibility was in and out and I only saw a couple of shorts. Had to run to San Clemente Island Saturday to scrape up a smallish white. The front side of the island was dead (Wilson, Fishhook and another spot) Pyramid produced the fish along with a small yt.
