I wanted to share some FAQ on our SPIERRE Blades:)

Do your blades have an angle to them? I like blades with angle for surface swimming.
Yes, our blades have a 24 degree angle to them

What are the dimensions of your blades? Why did you choose these dimensions?
Our blades measure 80 x 22cm which is a wide blade comparing to others on the market. But the length and width offer great power and thrust while not sacrificing maneuverability in too long of a blade.

What are your blades designed to do?
It is meant to fight big fish where torque is necessary and also propel you to deep depths. Custom orders can be placed for an additional charge to suit your desired dimensions :D...

What kind of diving are your blades designed for?
Our Pure Carbon blades are designed for deep diving and we’ve had excellent feedback from the best divers in South Africa especially the guys who dive deeper than 30 meters as well as freedivers pushing even greater depths. The blades have performed equally well in shallower depths up to 20m and surface swimming with the blades is also easy on the ankles due to the angle of the blade.

Who is currently using your blades now?
The #1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10 ranked divers in South Africa are using our blades, including 5x National Champion Jaco Blignaut and 11x National Champion Tommy Botha.
3x World Freediving Record Holder Trevor Hutton is also using our blades, and the list keeps growing :)

What varieties are your blades available in?
Our blades are available in Fiberglass, Fiberglass Camo (Ocean, Kelp, Reef), and PURE Carbon, which is our flagship line because it is manufactured from Pure Carbon cloth throughout.

Do you have a warranty on your blades?
Our blades are serialized and offer a 2 year warranty.

Do you have any pictures?

Yes :D ;)

I bought a pair of the fiberglass blades and love them!

I just got back from Baja and used them the whole trip....we did beach, boat, reef and bluewater dives and the fins preformed even better than I could have hoped.

I do a lot of surface swimming covering a lot of ground quickly and I barely knew the fins were there. I couldn't be happier with these blades!

Glad you are liking them :)

Another fish in addition to GROUPER and Yellowfin Tuna that test the fish are Yellowtail where you need torque to get back to the surface and fight the fish.

Here's Pierre with some top SA Divers and some 15kg+ yellowtails shot on a wonderful trip to Mexico :)

I've been meaning to write a review on the fiberglass fins as well for a while. I've been using the Picasso Black Teams for years and about 3 months ago picked up a set of the Spierre Fiberglass blades and a second set of pockets. Right off the bat I noticed the extra kick at the surface swimming out to the kelp. Where I really noticed the extra umph was getting off the bottom back to the top.

When you have a monster breathhold of 45 seconds like me:rolleyes:you need all the help you can get. I can consistently dive deeper/stay down a bit longer with less effort exerted which is the main added benefit to the blades. I also noticed that the walk up the cliff/soreness isn't as bad the next day. I recently took a friend out for his first time and ended up putting him in the Spierre's and I wore the Picasso's---that really was eye opening after using the fiberglass for 3 months straight---I'm hooked---now I'm curious about the carbon blades...have to re-fi the house for those!!!! Maybe Sumora takes payments!!!:thumps:

I've used my green fiberglass sumora fins alot now,,,, I haven't tried ne thing or anybody elses, being that they are the first pair I've ever used but they work great and everyone comments on how much cooler they look then their fins,, I'm diving about 30ft or so at the most right now but I'm still VERY new to the sport and I get to 30ft pretty easy without alot of effort.

If you are thinking of picking up a new pair of blades or want some added performance
that you are not receiving from your current blades, you should consider SPIERRE
Fiberglass or SPIERRE Pure Carbon line.

Currently used by the South African #1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10 ranked divers,
as well as 5x National Champion Jaco Blignaut and 11x National Champion
Tommy Botha. 2X World Freediving Record Holder Trevor Hutton uses
SPIERRE Pure Carbon Monofins,

SPIERRE Produces the highest quality fins in Carbon and Fiberglass.

We have blades at 4 different price levels

1) Fiberglass soft / medium soft -our introductory fin available in soft and medium soft.

2 Fiberglass Camouflage in MS/M/MH (2, 3, 4 equivalent) - A very durable fin I personally use in rocky areas. Beautiful Camouflage patterns disguise in Reef, Kelp, and Ocean.

3) Pure Carbon Fins - The best fin money can buy. Flowing action and carbon snap-back provides a light fin with incredible strength, durability, and unrivaled performance.

The South African national team arrived at the world meet and other competitors curious from various countries exchanged gear for testing. Let's say the entire SA team sold their fins to world-level athletes because they were impressed with the performance.

4) Any of the above may be custom made to your depths/type of finning style/body weight/stiffness.

Achieve greater depths,
