I took my boat off shore from Grand isle and took along 2 people from a local dive shop.. We experienced a lot of firsts...first dive for me on the rigs...first dive out of my boat ever...and first time for my boat in the water this year!
After working out a few minor kinksWe set off to look for AJ and Snapper...
Fist stop yeilded a ton of big AJ and we each speared one keeper..no snapper seen... 2nd -4th dives were all for snapper and we ended up with a good mix of Red snapper and mangrove snapper. One of the divers with me was able to take a 55 lb cobia for the big fish of the day...
All and all a great 4 dive day... got to experience near zero visibility for the first 15 feet of each dive ( muddy mississippi river water) then the water opened up to some great visibility below..
Can not wait to go back...
