Well, since you guys were asking for pics, here are some from a more recent adventure.

I guess you could say that my latest catch was a little different from the rest; about 5' 10" 65 kg, to be exact. A couple weekends ago, my mates and I responded to a mayday near Napier. A man was trapped inside a capsized boat. By the time we got there, he was unconcious and drowning. Long story short, we pulled him out, I had to give cpr, he came to, rushed back to shore, airlift to hospital.....four days later, full recovery.

Moral: learn CPR and listen out for emergencies.

Good job Kolt.

This reminds me of a pet peeve. So many people don't monitor channel 16, so you could be in trouble right next to them and they wouldn't hear your call. That guy was lucky that you heard him.

Well played Kolt.

What a stupid thing to say bro. How are you supposed to gain experience on the sea, and learn what to do, if you stay away from it?
How did you learn to ride a motorbike? By using a simulator until you worked it out, and THEN getting on a real bike? I doubt it.
