Baja trip

Anyone game for a Baja dive trip? Ever spear dorado? (I hear they go airborne like when rod/reel fishing).

I'm looking for other spearos who want to freedive Punta Chivato or points further South. I have a kayak, but am open for chartering pangas too. Better yet, if you have a boat I'll offer to tow with my F350 crewcab diesel. Although having more than one vehicle on the trip would be nice. Planning to camp in remote areas, but also open for the hotel route too.

Flexible on time and location. If you're up for it, let's hear some suggestions. I'm located in Encinitas.

I will go to a baja trip, around what time were you looking to go? I am available any time from Aug4-September 15. I start school late september again.



hmmmmm: from my experience, they don't go that crazy when rod and reel fishing. I landed a 50 lb dorado in a couple minutes.

Ive landed a 35 lbs dorado with reel/rod and it went airborn 3 times on me. I guess it just depends on the spunk of the fish.

I just had unexpected back surgery, so my Baja trip this year is postponed. Hook up with VAQUERO, he's trying to get a trip going.

Damn, I was really looking forward to it too.
