I am wanting to get into freediving some, and wanted to beg for some helpful info, I'd probably be starting between 20 and 40 feet, and would like to know if a reel is the best option? I've been looking into whatever freediving info there is out there, and it seems like the floats and all that setup aren't really that suitable to the diving I do, mostly off tarpon/NPR. I'd appreciate any tips as far as getting started, I was going to buy a reel for a spare biller I've got, good idea? I haven't got the money to spend on buying a new gun, so figured this should work. Anyways, open to any suggestions, and of course I'd always appreciate an invite out to watch any of you guys in action, even to watch if you're going deep. Willing to help with gas and all that, hope someone out there will have an empty spot in the near future. thanks, anthony

We have a free dive meeting the first wednesday of each month in Saint Petersburg. You should come and meet some of the local guys and check out their set ups and ask questions. Send a PM to El Duke for more info.
