Here is something good to go with the pork shoulder and cole slaw.
5 pounds potatoes
3 pounds onions
3 pounds boston but (cubed or pulled)
3 pounds pulled chicken
1 large can of garden peas
1 large can corn (cut or creamed depending on your taste)
1 large bottle crystals hot sauce
1 bunch of carrots
12 oz. ketchup
12 oz. barbeque suace
salt and pepper to taste
You will need a very large pot. Cook chicken and boston butt the way you like it (I smoke the butt and boil the chicken). Add all ingrediants <sp> to lage pot and cover with water. Bring to boil and keep there for 30 minutes stirring actively. Reduce heat to a slow simmer, cover and cook for about 2 hours or until everything is fork tender. This makes 5 to 10 gallons and freezes readily. You can adjust to smaller portions if you like.
