70/01 24' SeaRay

5 Attachment(s)
Well I guess I'm going to put my SeaRay up for sale. :( I bought a 1970 SeaRay for cheap money and totally redid it in 01. A brand new, out of the box 5.7 Mec I/O with a Bravo drive now w/145 hrs. Eight coats of gel coat on the outside, 2 dusky white, 3 pearl metal flake, and 3 coats clear. Partial list to follow:
vertical windlass w/stainless gypsy (new used 3 times)
Fruno GPS
Interphase forward looking bottom machine
AM FM CD & Standard marine radio
salt & fresh (18 gal tank) washdown
2 live wells
10 tank role controle
Bennet 18" trim tabs
saddle fuel tanks relined ~70 gal
Stainless bimini ~7x9
seperate built in cooler & fish locker
She's a 45 mi/hr boat with a confortable 35 mi/hr cruise in 2' to 4' seas. I have somewhere in the area of 35k invested although I really dont want to add it up as I would probably cry. I've had it for 6 years now and just dont use it enough to justify keeping it. Asking $17.5k. I am listing it on yacht world on line & boat trader now.

That's a heck of a deal..... You have put in an incredible number of hours restoring that vessel.

Lowering the price again to $14,000 - she is lonely and needs a good family to spend time with her. Please call and take a look at her. She will provide someone with lots of fun.

Price reduced again. The first $12,000 offer will take her home. She is a great boat but needs someone to play with. Call to set up a time to see her.

How do you get in and out of the boat?
Don't see a swim latter anywhere.
How many hours does she have now?
Are these recent photos?
Any of the inside of the cabin?
Does the boat need anything?
Has any wood been replaced or is it good shape?
Phone number?

Re: 70/01 24' SeaRay

The dive ladder is on the starboard side near the stearn, a 4 rung(sp?) that clips intop a mount on the side, reinforced with glass & ply on the inside. You can see it in one of the pics, it works well & the wife & kids use it without issues. I have climbed it many times with full dive gear on and I am 200lbs + (although I refrain from devouldging the exact #)

Hours havent changed as I have been using the big boat exclusively.

Cabin pics are too hard (v birth stabin cabin). There was a full head installed when I got it but took it out,
replaced the tank & now use it as a fresh water wash down.
Porta potty works better (you use it you clean it).

Transom ply was replaced when I redid the whole boat. No other wood needed any attention.

Does it need anything? Well I havent run it in a while so Im not sure, new batteries, fuel was staybilled(sp?), I guess the only thing that I can think of is the bottom/fish finder wouldn't fire up last time I was out ( forward viewing interphase w/through hull duser) might be a power/fuse issue I never investegated it. I am a fiberglasser by trade so I feel confident about all the glass work. As far as the engine goes, well the bar code part stickers are still on the outdrive from when I bought the engine & outdrive directly from merc.

call me anytime Michael 727-458-5199
