Almost all our boats here are planning hulls. Only recently, has a manufacturer gone the displacement route, but they make a 38' and a 29'...

A 140 or 150cm railgun would work well. Look at Pelaj, Rabitech, RA, Aimrite, etc. I've used the 150cm railgun and have found it to be a tad too long. Makes tracking a fish almost impossible....
