question on threaded shaft
I have look at threaded shaft at many websites and see that they all say "threaded". None tell you what type and size of thread. Are they always 1 type/size? If so, does anyone know what type/size it is?
Thanks in advance. |

Re: question on threaded shaft
Generally 7.0 mm, 7.5 mm and 9/32 shafts have 6 mm threads for your sliptip adapter. 8.0 mm, 5/16 and larger shafts generally have 5/16 x 24 threads. Some shafts are necked down to accept either a 9/32 slide ring or a 5/16 slide ring. This keeps sliptip options easy. If not you have to find sliptips with other sized slide rings to match your shaft.

Re: question on threaded shaft
Thanks Red Tide,
actually I have a broken shaft. Diameter measured is 6.7mm. Do you know what kind of thread on the tip should I get? Worst case, if I can't find anything works, I can just get some tip with a large female which can slip through (or drill it out) then weld it in huh Thanks again. Re: question on threaded shaft
On that shaft you would want it turned down to a 6 mm thread.
