Your wife must be an amazing woman to put up with a bird brain like you!

Re: Parrots

Similar to our white sulphur crested, as you know parrots can outlive their owners. Used to see wild birds flying about, but not these days as suburban sprawl and land clearing, cutting down of old growth trees has driven these birds further out and only very occasionally see a flock wheeling overhead.

Re: Parrots

When I lived in south Floriduh the exotic non native parrots were everywhere.Anything from little Quaker Parakeets to Hyacinth Macaws.I doubt I would grab a wild Cockatoo.Mine is a sweetheart but the previous owner said she broke their siamese cats tail twice in self defense. She shreds 2x4s into toothpicks in minutes.

Re: Parrots

Well of course I live in the land of parrots, Australia. Some species, if they take a shine to a place, will descend on it and chew all the exposed woodwork up, like timber window framing and railings and porch fittings. Being protected the owners have a problem and have to pray that the birds move on. Because we have a big range of parrots POS types try to smuggle them out doped up in snug containers as they bring big bucks in Asia and elsewhere. If caught these characters then end up in their own cage, i.e. behind bars!
