Thrill of a Lifetime!
DDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGG!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is always a thrill to catch a big fish........but to catch one on St Pete Open Tournament day? For a spearfisherman, that is one hell of a gift, let me tell ya! Thanks to everyone for the good wishes! Thanks to my crew and those that helped make it a great day! Thanks to all the generous sponsors that have helped us promote this great sport over the years! Thanks to Tony, Spearboard and Spearfishing Magazine for helping with promotion and coverage of the event! And thanks to my Underwater Club Brothers for all the hard work that it takes to pull off such an awesome event! Last edited by Screen Name; 08-22-2006 at 10:08 AM. |

Re: Thrill of a Lifetime!
HHHHHHeeeeyyyyyy John! you deserve it good buddy. After 20+ years of significant support through FRA, clubs and tournaments, your good karma towards the sport of spearfishing is being rewarded. Keep up the good efforts my friend. The SPUCs sure looked proud of their winning member in the top prize ranking.
Here's that picture again that I took of you and your winning fish.

Re: Thrill of a Lifetime!
John, it was kind of funny, when Lynn and I looked at your fish in line, no one was around it. I said, "I wonder whos it is, I havent seen John or Hank, I figured they would be here." Then a few minutes later, they weighed it and said it was yours. WAY TO GO!!!!!! You made em all wait!. Steve.

Re: Thrill of a Lifetime!
Congratulations John! First the WCC series champion (which you'd also been chasing for 20 years) - and now this too! It's been a big year for you. Couldn't have happened to a nicer and more deserving guy. You have always put a lot of hard work into these tournaments so that everyone could have a good time. I'm really happy to see you do so well.
