MLPA news

Fish and game has the most recent MPA master plan up for public review here: https://www.wildlife.ca.gov/Conserva...As/Master-Plan

The meeting to discuss it is December 9-10 in San Diego. I don't know if it's an open hearing (probably not) but I guess they are accepting comments online here:

I assume that all rant-filled hatemails will be roundly ignored, as they are anywhere else except for internet forums, but if anyone actually bothers to read the plan and send along some well-reasoned feedback, perhaps it gets taken into account.

Re: MLPA news

Not much to be said, this is the initial phase of the long term plan.
Our best bet is to keep track of our areas and use this information , even if not scientific and vetted, to bolster our positions of access for the future.
For now, we should watch how and what they are supposedly studying the areas with.
