Gamefish Variety starting the New Year
...2019 is off to a good start for divers and fishermen...Squid are showing at spots like Pt. Fermin by the San Pedro lighthouse; Catalina at West Cove, Silver Canyon and above Salta Verde on the backside; as well as San Clemente island's east end with some yellowtail in the mix by Pyramid Head. Bluefin are present just to the southwest of Pyramid..
...Long Beach has some white sea bass, as well as yellowtail out by the oil rigs. If temps don't drop too much from our winter rains, the Bluefin may stay around along the coast to feed on massive schools of sardines. Don't put away the long guns just yet.... When seizing opportunities in life, if you are early, you are on time; if you are on time, you are late and if you are late, you are fired or sol.....
