We were anchored at some coastal kelp bed trying to find a sea bass. I had already climbed back into the boat and Dam was swimming back against a stiff current. About 10 feet behind the swimstep, he suddenly did a quick dive and came up with the mola in his hands. I made him hold on while I ran to get the camera, and then he released it.

I'd love to swim with one of these sometime myself.
If you do much diving under the offshore kelp paddies, its an easy goal to accomplish. Some paddies will have several molas under them, and they are easy to see from the boat.
